Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how SpeedSound LLC ("SpeedSound," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit speedsound.ai, upload audio or video, submit text for translation or speech generation, use our tools, or contact us (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information we collect

We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate and protect the Service:

• Uploaded media and results. Audio, video, filenames, file metadata, and the cleaned files created at your request.
• Text and generated speech. Text you submit for translation or speech generation and the resulting text or audio. The TikTok Voice Generator sends text to the configured speech provider and streams the generated audio back to your browser; the MVP does not save that text or generated audio in SpeedSound storage.
• Audio transcription. When you use Audio to Text, the selected audio file is sent to the AI provider you choose—Google Gemini, OpenAI, or ElevenLabs—to create the transcript. SpeedSound does not save the uploaded file or transcript in its own storage for this tool. Gemini uploads are deleted from the Gemini Files API after the transcription request completes; provider-side processing remains subject to that provider's applicable terms and data controls.
• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive account details such as your name, email address, profile image, provider, and a unique account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
• Technical and usage information. IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, timestamps, referring pages, and diagnostic or security logs.
• Communications. Your email address and the content of messages you send to support or otherwise provide to us.
• Payment information. The current basic Service does not require a credit card. If we later offer paid features, a payment provider may collect billing and payment details under its own privacy notice. We do not intend to store full payment-card numbers.

Audio and video may contain personal or sensitive information about you or other people. The Service is not designed to identify people or create voiceprints, but you should upload media only when you have the right and any required consent to do so.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• receive, process, and return the translation, speech, cleaned audio, or video you request;
• create and authenticate your account through Google and Supabase Auth;
• operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
• detect abuse, fraud, security threats, and technical failures;
• respond to support requests and service communications; and
• comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We may use aggregated or de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably identify you to understand performance and improve the Service.

3. Files, model training, and retention

We retain uploaded media and processed results only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service. We may retain limited technical logs for longer when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, debugging, or legal compliance. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and maintain appropriate business records.

We do not use your submitted text, uploaded audio or video, or processed result to train general-purpose artificial intelligence or machine-learning models unless we first obtain your express permission. Text submitted for speech generation is processed by the configured text-to-speech provider under that provider's applicable terms and data controls.

4. Cookies and analytics

We may use necessary cookies or local storage to keep the Service working, remember basic preferences, and prevent abuse. We may also use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate traffic and feature usage. You can control cookies through your browser, although disabling necessary storage may affect the Service.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. How we share information

We may disclose information only in these circumstances:

• Service providers. Hosting, storage, media-processing, transcription and text-to-speech—including Google Gemini, OpenAI, or ElevenLabs when configured—authentication—including Google and Supabase—security, analytics, and support providers that process information for us under contractual restrictions.
• Legal and safety reasons. When reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request; enforce our agreements; or protect users, SpeedSound, or the public.
• Business changes. In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
• At your direction. When you ask us to share information or otherwise consent.

6. Security and international transfers

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

SpeedSound LLC operates from the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about your request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

To make a request, email contact@speedsound.co. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may be retained when required by law or needed to protect legal rights, prevent abuse, or complete a transaction you requested. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If local law requires a higher minimum age, you may use the Service only with the authorization required by that law. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.

9. Third-party services

The Service may link to or rely on third-party services. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy notices. We encourage you to review those notices.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this Privacy Notice as the Service changes. We will post the revised notice here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when required by law.
